Inner Peace is the Key for World Peace

World-renowned humanitarian and global peacemaker, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, will be in Ottawa as part of a 3-city Canadian peace tour. On Saturday, October 18th from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Sri Sri will speak on the topic of “Inner Peace is the Key to World Peace” at the Grand Hall of the Canadian Museum of History. This event will be an opportunity to dialogue with Sri Sri about the link between personal happiness and global welfare. Tickets are available at ottawa.trulyhappy.org

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has addressed prestigious forums such as the World Economic Forum in Davos, the World Forum on Ethics in Business at the United Nations in Geneva as well as the European Parliament. He is known for his peacebuilding workin in Sri Lanka, Iraq and other conflict zones around the world. He is also recognized for his programs ad initiatives that help military personnel cope with post-traumatic stress disorder. These programs offer powerful tools that have proven effective in alleviating the suffering of veterans and enabling them to live happy and productive lives. Sri Sri’s efforts to uplift humanity through service and educational projects focus on restoring human values across all sectors of society.

Sri Sri is the founder of two international non-profit organizations, both of which are registered charities in Canada: the International Association for Human Values and the Art of Living Foundation. The Art of Living Foundation is engaged in promoting world peace through its service initiatives and inner peace through its personal development programs. The Foundation works to create stress-free and violence-free communities right here in Ottawa.
